Ironically, I haven’t had a chance to use my new premises yet. I’ve only had one booking this week, a same day 2hr outcall to a lovely gent staying at a hotel not too far from Marble Arch this past Thursday. There was one chap who also made a same day booking for an incall at Earl’s Court for Friday. Although he confirmed, he text back not five minutes later and said that his work plans had changed and he was being sent to Canary Wharf. He said he was fuming as he was really looking forward to the booking, could he please change the time, not sure to what yet but he will call and let me know. As I said, that was Friday and I’ve still yet to hear from him. I’ve left him some negative feedback on Adultwork and his number is now filed in my phone under “J-A/W(no)”. You only get one go.

In my other life it’s been an interesting week. I had a sit down with my supervisor on Monday, just to check on my progress, make sure she’s happy with me and that I’m happy with things. We were both happy so all was well. I did get the suprising news that she’s ready to sign me off, which means I get a certificate and I become a fully-fledged adviser. Which I’m a little suprised about I must admit, as I’m sure training was for two years. I must double-check with her when I go into Work tomorrow. If it is the case then it also means that I’m stepping up looking for a job. There are quite a few vacancies on their website, some within the company itself which I wouldn’t mind as I’d be happy to continue working with them, albeit in a paid capacity. So things are progressing nicely.

In other news I’ve finished my first assignment and it has been sent off to my tutor for marking. I may or may not let you know what mark I get when it comes back, it depends on if I pass,lol. I’m going to start reading today to prepare for my 2nd assignment, due the middle of next month.

Yesterday I went for my first tutorial at my local college, although it wasn’t the first as I had to miss one due to the wedding I went to a few weeks ago. It was very interesting. I met new fellow students and as it was only the six of us that turned up, it was nice and cosy and we seemed to get on really well. The two hours flew by.

Back home for a relaxing rest of the day, interspersed by a chuckle or two I had when the work phone rang at 6.50pm and a chap asked to see me in the next hour. And another call at 9.30pm asking to see me at 10pm. Thanks for the laugh fellas. Sometimes I feel I should just have a site full of pictures and a contact number, seeing as the text seems to go unnoticed. Thank goodness for you patient chaps who do seem to bother and take the time to read the blurb.

This week I’m hoping to catch up with the warrior that is Adorable Amy, as she makes her regular jaunt to London, from Wednesday I think. And a couple more bookings would be nice, as it’s that time of year again soon and I’d like some spending money. Yes, it’s my forty-*sneeze* birthday on the 25th, which is a Saturday this year. I have a tutorial that morning but after that I plan to go missing from home for the whole day. What my plans entail, I’m not quite sure. I’m going to have a look see if there are any special exhibitions at the museums during that time. If not, some light shopping; maybe at Westfield, and lunch by myself with my Kindle. Either way I’m going to enjoy myself.

This past week the bunting was up all over Victoria. Some of the shops had some wonderful displays. Whittards the coffee sellers had some great accessories if you were that way obsessed inclined.

Me? Well, I had a couple of bookings this week, including seeing one of my old favourites on Thursday, ‘Newcastle Brown’, whom I’m sure I hadn’t seen for about 6 months. It was wonderful seeing him again after such a long absence. He’s one of my oldest clients, dating back to my Caterham days. The chap who made a booking two months prior didn’t confirm in the end, despite my email that morning asking that he do so. I stll haven’t heard from him two days later, so I’m assuming it was all a big fantasy on his part. I had given him the benefit of the doubt because as the booking was made so long ago, I had neglected to ask him the week before to confirm. But I shall now save the gent’s email to my ‘Timewasters’ folder.

But it was cool, because it meant I could meet the warrior that is Adorable Amy earlier for lunch on the Thursday. She was passing through after a booking over at Heathrow. We went for a bite at YoSushi, fast becoming one of our favourite eateries. They were doing a special offer for the month of April. If you’ve never been to YoSushi’s before here’s a brief explanation:
They have small plates of food which go around on a conveyer belt and you take your pick. Each plate is a different colour which depicts a different price. The price starts from £1.70 to £5.00. Well, this month every Monday was Blue Plate Monday, which they then extended to Thursdays, and this Thursday being the 28th was the last Thursday for the promotion. Are you with me?
Well, of course Amy and I (not to mention a lot of other customers, the restaurant was packed) had to take advantage of this offer and between us we ate enough to maybe feed a small village for a day. Our excuse is these are small plates and it does take a while to fill up. It doesn’t help that their food is truly scrumptious and they do carry a wide variety of Japanese dishes, so you feel compelled to try different ones. Amy had me rolling about at one point when she tried one of their desserts, not knowing what it was and couldn’t quite determine the taste, but she tucked in anyway. Although she did say it was very sweet. With Blue Plate Thursday every dish was blue, therefore £2.30, so Amy and I went a little bit crazy. We ate, we chatted, we laughed and ate some more. A good afternoon we had and I went home satiated.

In other news my landlady has informed me that she isn’t renewing her lease on the apartment in Victoria so I will soon be without incall facilities if I don’t find somewhere fast. I’m actually quite gutted, as I’ve been there for five maybe six years and it was very convenient for me to get to to see my clients. I’ve been ‘Kinky La Rue in SW1′ for a good long time now and I’m going to have to adjust to the fact that an upheavel is imminent if I don’t find other premises to work from in the area.

The irony is, as far as bookings go, May is shaping up quite nicely for the next couple of weeks with advanced bookings and later into the month for outcalls. If there’s anybody that would like to make a booking within the next month at Victoria, I suggest you do so now. As I understand it, she did tell me mid-May, but as she hasn’t found new premises to move to yet that may be extended, so when she does give her notice, I’ll give you mine.

It’s been a good week so far; I was on a training course for my Other Job on Tuesday and I’m to have a chat with my supervisor next week on moving forward. New York’s going well and today I had a long booking with my Cricket Bloke. He’s happy because the cricket starts at Lord’s next week, so he thought he’d stop by and see me before I go and before he gets busy with his other passion. The sun is shining and I’m not even bothered that it shows up the dirt on my car….I really must get it seen to.

Twiggy is due up by train later on this afternoon, so his travel may be affected. The poor thing is going to be as frozen as a fish finger when he gets here. I’ll have just have to warm him up underneath my bottom. I don’t think he’ll object too much.

I forgot to mention, Yorkshire P finally made it down to SW1 on Thursday. Would you believe he nearly had to cancel again! He caught a bit of a tummy bug last weekend which threatened his visit, but overcame it and travelled down to London. He was thinking of re-booking for next Thursday, which would’ve been no good as I have to go into Work, so it’s a good thing he could make it. This time he remembered to charge his camera, he even brought his tripod – he was very well equipped this time. I lept in and out of various changes of knickers whilst he took a few pictures, a couple of which he promised to upload and send to me and I’ll post on here when he does. I must say I do like the red on me.

Glasgow is off to a good start despite the crappy weather. I was in the company of a gorgeous young man for a couple of hours last night. He told me that he hadn’t dated in about 18 months and was concerned that he had lost his touch. If you’re reading this DB, no, no you haven’t. If you do make it down to London for the tennis later on in the year, you know where to find me. And thanks for the tip on Salzburg. You’re the second person this week to recommend it.

Just one booking this afternoon, so I can conserve all my energy for Twiggy and our night in. Rest and homework tomorrow, although I’m tempted by the cinema I walked past on the way to the hotel yesterday. I may take a closer look to see what’s playing at the moment. I have done a lot of my workbook prior to coming up, so the sense of urgency I felt before is diminished somewhat, but it does still need to get done.

And in the midst of packing and running around like a headless chicken getting ready for my trip, I will be available every day (excluding Easter Sunday) until next Tuesday, where I’ll be at my volunteer job the day before I leave. Yes, that does also mean I’ll be available on Bank Holiday Monday if anybody fancies an Easter romp in the hay.

Otherwise, everything will be back to normal on the 16th April.

Although saying that, I do have a dentist’s appointment at 11am today so anybody I do see might end up getting more than they bargained for. Anybody fancy a drooling wreck today?

I think I’ll also take this opportunity to remind anybody that’s thinking about seeing me soon that I will be away for the Easter holidays. Although I don’t actually go until the 7th April, what with the bank holiday and me doing my other work, my last available day will actually be Saturday 3rd.

So either come see me before I go gents, or you’ll have to wait until mid-April when I get back.
