I’m not sure if it’s because I had two wonderful clients on Wednesday or what. This time I was near South Kensington, SW7 and the hotel I used was just lovely and not too far from the nearest tube station. I think I’m just liking being able to pick a hotel, book it, turn up, give my best to my clients, then go home again. No drama, no being let down, no having to depend on anybody. And the great thing about booking a day room is that when I reserve a hotel room, I don’t have to leave my credit card details; so if a client doesn’t confirm, I’m not charged. I can even cancel by 10am on the day of the booking, the same time I ask clients to. So if they don’t confirm, I cancel – simple. Another thing I like is having the choice to pick from a few hotels in the Central London area that’s within my budget and also suits the client’s geographical needs. In fact, the more I think about, the more I’m leaning towards just doing what I’m doing for now, I’m in no rush. If I find somewhere, fine. If I don’t, again, fine. So for now folks, hotel
incalls is what I’ll be doing for now. There will be certain restrictions, like I can only take same day bookings if I’m already working, and I can only work until either 5 or 6pm, depending on the hotel, but hey, I can live with it and it’s better than nothing. If you haven’t been to see me during the past few months, what you don’t know is that I had two incall addresses at Earl’s Court. Yep, the original incall place lasted about a month and through no fault of my own I had to give it up but I was referred to someone else just down the road. As it wasn’t too far I didn’t see the point in mentioning the change of address, especially as I wasn’t there long enough. So you can appreciate my reticence in having to depend on somebody else’s place to take my bookings from. Hotel incalls are simply more attractive to me at the moment. And remember I can still do the odd outcall in the evenings if I have to. Blimey, a day in the life, eh!
In the meantime I caught up with Warrior Amy on Thursday and we lunched at Fish!, a fabulous restaurant in Borough Market. We had their Xmas Menu. She had the fish pie, I had grilled sardines and salad. My dessert was sticky toffee pudding with ice-cream. Scrumptious. I would’ve taken a pic but I didn’t pause from eating long enough to get the phone out. I’m not sure if it’s the food or what but I’ve talked Amy into taking on an admin role on SAAFE, which I consider to be a massive boon to the site itself. She’s always been a huge champion for the rights of sex workers and if anything close to her heart needed publicity she could always use it as a platform.
And get this, I’ve also talked her into coming to New York with me next March, which’ll be fantastic. Well, think about it, the job search looks like it’ll be going on for some time yet and I don’t see me finding anything in the next couple of months. And if I’m going to squeeze in one more tour, I might as well make it a big one, right? And I
can have a buddy to scream at should the clients ever drive me nuts like they did last year. We’ve picked a date that we’re both happy with and we chatted about that and other things, but as usual the time flew by. She had to get back to knackering more clients out and I wanted to get back home before the rush-hour kicked in. But not without stopping at Konditor & Cook of course for some cake (again, sorry, didn’t even have time to think about getting the camera out) and I also bought a few things from the market before heading back to the station.
I know I said I was going to work on Monday but it increasingly looks like that’s not going to happen. I still have a little shopping to do before a family get-together on Wednesday and what with my Other Job on Tuesday, Monday is the only day I can finish off my shopping before then. So next week’s even more limited I’m afraid. You’ve got the afternoon of the Thursday and Xmas Eve itself. That’s it for work next week. Again, check the diary, it’s up to date.
they thought they’d steal a couple of them and pass them off as their own.
Talk about the skin of my teeth. I’ve managed to find a new incall location in the Earl’s Court area in SW5. Incalls resume next week, not that there was much of a break, apart from today.
them with the flu; seriously, proper throwing up and everything, another with a chest infection. Which means that I had to eat most of the turkey myself. As the family went to Scotland on Boxing Day it was left to me to make sure the turkey wasn’t wasted. Which means I had it for three days, including turkey sandwiches yesterday. I hate to waste food and I couldn’t bring myself to throw it away on Sunday. Not that I’m a greedy cow, I just hate wasting food. Did your mother not remind you of all the starving children in Africa when you were a child and wouldn’t eat your vegetables/salad/porridge? It still verberates in my ear to this day. So I’ve eaten as much as I could without it sticking in my craw. All I can say is, good thing turkey’s a seasonal thing and I don’t expect to eat it again until Easter.
In other news, my fervent wait for the flight sale is over as I’ve found a relatively cheap flight to New York for the Spring. And I’m so pleased with myself. Especially as I’ve snuck a look back at Expedia today and found that said cheap flight has now increased by about £50. I didn’t realise the sale started on Christmas Day. I was doing a bit of mindless surfing, waiting for the buzzer to go on the oven when, as luck would have it, I happened on a banner for one of the big airlines announcing their “very very big sale”. Which meant if one had started it, that means they all have. Which is why I booked through Expedia, there was no point trawling through various airline websites when I could just look at one very-well established comparison website.
Anyway, long story short, it celebrated its 5th birthday last October and SAAFE has now been recognised by my fellows peers in the adult industry. It is now up for a Best Website Award, to be presented at
