I got my results back for my latest assignment which saw me inch up another 1% to 67%. I’m getting there, really slowly but I’m determined to break the 70% barrier. I have one more assignment for the 18th October, which goes to the actual uni for another tutor to mark. After which I get my first 30 credits towards the first half of my level 1 course. I just need a pass rate of 30%, which I’m sure I can do. But you know how nervous you get when you know that “this is the big one”. If all goes according to plan I start Discovering Psychology for six months in early November for another 30 credits. Wish me luck that all goes well.

Work-wise this past August was the crappiest August I’ver ever had in nearly 10 years of working. Even during the midst of the recession I still managed a couple of bookings a week. Last month I had on average one booking per week after I got back from Edinburgh and Manchester. The one booking I had last week was a three hour outcall to Heathrow last Saturday, so that helped tremendously. The good thing about it being a quiet week was that I took advantage of the downtime and I submitted my last assignment five days early.

The phone is ringing again and I have a couple of bookings for this week, including one with Yorkshire P this Saturday afternoon at 12pm at Earl’s Court. So if anybody’s around just after 1pm drop me a line or give me a call. Or again tomorrow afternoon at the same time.

I’m going to start advertising for my last tour to Glasgow for the end of the month. If anybody would like to make a booking, again give me a call or drop me a line. I’ve decided to go by train as I had a most enjoyable ride up there the last time. I really don’t fancy flying. So I should be checked in anytime after 2pm on the 30th of this month.
See you soon.x

What did you get up to? Did you watch the wedding? I must admit I did have it on in the background whilst I was pottering about the house yesterday after I got back from shopping. The weather stayed dry and the wedding seemed to emanate a feelgood factor throughout the UK.

This past week the bunting was up all over Victoria. Some of the shops had some wonderful displays. Whittards the coffee sellers had some great accessories if you were that way <del datetime="2011-04-30T13:23:15+00:00">obsessed</del> inclined.

Me? Well, I had a couple of bookings this week, including seeing one of my old favourites on Thursday, ‘Newcastle Brown’, whom I’m sure I hadn’t seen for about 6 months. It was wonderful seeing him again after such a long absence. He’s one of my oldest clients, dating back to my Caterham days. The chap who made a booking two months prior didn’t confirm in the end, despite my email that morning asking that he do so. I stll haven’t heard from him two days later, so I’m assuming it was all a big fantasy on his part. I had given him the benefit of the doubt because as the booking was made so long ago, I had neglected to ask him the week before to confirm. But I shall now save the gent’s email to my ‘Timewasters’ folder.

But it was cool, because it meant I could meet the warrior that is Adorable Amy earlier for lunch on the Thursday. She was passing through after a booking over at Heathrow. We went for a bite at YoSushi, fast becoming one of our favourite eateries. They were doing a special offer for the month of April. If you’ve never been to YoSushi’s before here’s a brief explanation:
They have small plates of food which go around on a conveyer belt and you take your pick. Each plate is a different colour which depicts a different price. The price starts from £1.70 to £5.00. Well, this month every Monday was Blue Plate Monday, which they then extended to Thursdays, and this Thursday being the 28th was the last Thursday for the promotion. Are you with me?
Well, of course Amy and I (not to mention a lot of other customers, the restaurant was packed) had to take advantage of this offer and between us we ate enough to maybe feed a small village for a day. Our excuse is these are small plates and it does take a while to fill up. It doesn’t help that their food is truly scrumptious and they do carry a wide variety of Japanese dishes, so you feel compelled to try different ones. Amy had me rolling about at one point when she tried one of their desserts, not knowing what it was and couldn’t quite determine the taste, but she tucked in anyway. Although she did say it was very sweet. With Blue Plate Thursday every dish was blue, therefore £2.30, so Amy and I went a little bit crazy. We ate, we chatted, we laughed and ate some more. A good afternoon we had and I went home satiated.

In other news my landlady has informed me that she isn’t renewing her lease on the apartment in Victoria so I will soon be without incall facilities if I don’t find somewhere fast. I’m actually quite gutted, as I’ve been there for five maybe six years and it was very convenient for me to get to to see my clients. I’ve been ‘Kinky La Rue in SW1′ for a good long time now and I’m going to have to adjust to the fact that an upheavel is imminent if I don’t find other premises to work from in the area.

The irony is, as far as bookings go, May is shaping up quite nicely for the next couple of weeks with advanced bookings and later into the month for outcalls. If there’s anybody that would like to make a booking within the next month at Victoria, I suggest you do so now. As I understand it, she did tell me mid-May, but as she hasn’t found new premises to move to yet that may be extended, so when she does give her notice, I’ll give you mine.

With the volcano in Iceland still erupting, flights in and out of the UK are still grounded indefinitely.

I was just watching news video footage of MSNBC where it shows the chaos at Newark International Airport in New Jersey, which is where we were last Wednesday. It’s so strange looking at the footage and thinking, “gosh, we were only there a few days ago”. People are stranded and are actually sleeping rough at the airport because they can’t get home. Lovely Americans are offering their homes to stranded passengers as people run out of money and can no longer afford a hotel.

Seeing the chaos at Newark International really does make me count my lucky stars that we made it home okay. As I said previously, we landed at Heathrow at 8am on Thursday morning, by 11am all flights were cancelled. And my travelling partner wanted to take advantage of Continental bumping three passengers on to the later flight as they had overbooked and were offering any takers a $500 voucher towards their next flight. Pfft, that wouldn’t have done me much good if we did get stranded, would it?

Anyway, it is good to be back home. Good thoughts going out to those who weren’t so lucky.

I did a bit more ruminating over the weekend and I put up an announcement on the main page of my site yesterday.

Although there really wasn’t much to think about. If successful I get good company and extra spending money for LA. You get a big, tall, gorgeous Black Goddess either for dinner or an overnight at a much cheaper than normal rate. Or, to quote the department store I used to work for many moons ago, “We don’t use the word ‘cheap’ here. We say ‘less expensive’, or ‘more reasonably-priced’”,lol. So either way, you get me at a “less-expensive-more-reasonably-priced” rate for the evening of the 7th April. And remember, you don’t have to fork out for a hotel.

So, for my overnight at Heathrow I’m offering £500, normal price £700. Or if you really don’t want to catch my morning breath (I smell like roses, honestly), my dinner date will set you back £300 for two hours private time and two hours at dinner. Usual rate is £400.

As I stated in my last entry on the 18th though, there will be certain conditions:

1. For either the dinner date or the overnight you will have to pay for your own parking if you’re driving to Heathrow.

2. For the overnight dinner is still on you.

And, I’ve thought about this one over the weekend:

3. Also for the overnight I’d have to kick you out of bed pretty early in the morning, obviously so I can get up and get ready for my flight. I’m thinking around 6am. But saying that, I’m not averse to a bit of ‘how’s your father’ early in the morning, to send me on my way. Morning breath et al.

I hope it doesn’t sound too regimented. But I thought it might help if those that might be interested know what’s what and don’t have any suprises on the day (or in the morning).

Otherwise it’s business as normal. May I stress that it’s a one-off opportunity which won’t be repeated. So gents, please don’t ask me for this special rate at any other time. Or ask me if I’m willing to give a discount on any other service on the day. You won’t get p****d off when I say no, and I won’t have to get mad and threaten you with a spanking for asking.

Please do feel free to either drop me a line or give me a call at the usual number.

Now that I haven’t broken my site and my webmistress is still talking to me, may I tentatively say hello and welcome to what will be, my ramblings.

I really do hope you enjoy what I’ve got to say. Please feel free to leave any comments you may have. You will have to register first I’m afraid. It’s necessary to keep out the spammers that like to frequent blogs of any kind.

Are any of the lovelies still about that used to remember me way back as Buxom Brandy? Do you remember when I retired for oooh….about 6 weeks, then came back, lol. Actually that would’ve been exactly two years ago now. Well, things never quite worked out at home the way they were supposed to, so I’ve been back for the past two years as Kinky LaRue. Still gorgeous, still sexy and still kinky, lol. “Next time” I’ll just disappear into a rather voluptuous puff of smoke.

If I have any announcements to make of any kind, plus make sure to check here first. I’ll post them here as well as an announcement on the home page. My latest tour will be a flying stop at Heathrow in October. More of that later on in the month.

I’m already bursting at the seams to start rambling. So next time you have a peruse, make sure you’re settled with a cuppa.
