Because you’re really missing the boat here.
On Wednesday evening I had a two hour outcall to Heathrow Airport. It took me two hours to get there and two hours to get back. I didn’t want to take the car because anybody living in London knows what the M25 is like during rush hour. At any other time it takes approx. 90mins to get there anyway, so I thought I’d let the train take the strain and just read my Kindle on the journey.

But living on the other side of London, it can and it turned out to be a monumental journey. I emailed the client just before I left at 5.30. “I’m aiming to get there around 7pm”, I says. Who knew I was being optomistic? Somebody Up There must’ve been laughing at me and thinking, “that’s what she thinks.” The first hurdle was when I disembarked at Victoria to jump on the Victoria line, only to forget that between 4pm and 8pm the main entrance to the underground is closed due to the ongoing refurb of the underground system, so the staff had the rush hour foot traffic squeeze through another entrance that’s mainly used to exit the underground. That was fun, it was like squeezing marshmallows through a straw. Then the escalators to the Victoria line was shut, so the herd of foot-traffic was re-routed to another entrance. I decided instead to jump on the District line and change for the Piccadilly line at South Kensington. Then came (after a 10min wait for the tube) the near 40min journey on said Picadilly line to Terminal 5. I got to Heathrow at just on 7.30pm. Thank goodness I was able to keep in touch with my client to let him know that it would more likely be 7.30pm before I saw him and thank goodness he was cool about it and flexible with his schedule.

I know I keep saying this about my clients but he turned out to be a lovely (and gorgeous) gentleman and it was well worth the journey. But somebody out there’s missing the boat on building some sort of (direct) link between South London and Heathrow. Or at least Gatwick (my nearest airport, and Heathrow). On my recent jaunt to Vienna, the only flights were out of Heathrow, so sometimes I don’t have a choice. I don’t know if there are any plans, but if so, please build a line chaps. I reckon you’d make your money back in no time.

Yes, I do have those moments, lol.

I’m going to spending the night before my flight to LA at Heathrow. I don’t know about you but I always feel better spending the night before a long flight at an airport hotel and being more rested than getting up 6am and facing the daunting prospect of having to travel at that time of the morning to the airport, then having to endure an 11 hour flight. One of the inner circles of hell in Dante’s Inferno in my opinion. I’ve done it before and no, it wasn’t good.

I digress. Two years ago when I went to New York I did the same thing, and I was lucky enough to have a dinner date the night before, which was brilliant as it was in good company and also gave me a bit more shopping money.

Although I didn’t advertise it as such then, I’m thinking of doing the same thing but with an incentive:

With the current financial climate in mind, I was thinking of offering a hugely discounted overnight (with certain conditions), or a discount on a dinner date (not as substantial obviously).

My overnights rates are normally £700. In this case I was thinking of offering an overnight for a rate of £500. My conditions would be that dinner would still be on you obviously and you pay for your own parking if driving to Heathrow. But think about it, you don’t have to fork out for a hotel room as it’s already been booked and paid for. It’s a lovely 4* hotel I might add. Or…..

My dinner rates are normally £400. In this case I’d knock it down to say £300. You would still get the same two hour private time plus two hours at dinner. And there’s a lovely restaurant at the hotel I’m staying at so we wouldn’t have far to look for somewhere to eat. When you think that my usual two hour rate is £250 I reckon you’d have yourself a bargain there.

What do you reckon? Tempting? As I said, not only would you get a huge discount on either service, the hotel room is already paid for by me. And what I’d get out of it is (hopefully) great company the night before my flight, and more spending money for shopping in LA. It’s a win-win situation don’t you think?

I would stress though, that this would be a one-off offer, never to be repeated. I’m basically taking advantage of having a hotel room at my disposal for the night.

I’m going to have a bit more of a think about it today and maybe start advertising it. It wouldn’t be until the 7th April, but it would give those interested an opportunity to save.

Yeah, I reckon I’ll go for it.

I’ll be going away on holiday from the 17th October, coming back on the 26th. Back to work on the 27th, jetlag permitting.

I’ll be staying at a 4* hotel on the Bath Road the day before on the 16th (Thursday), the main road adjacent to Heathrow Airport. Check in time from around 3pm. If you’re on a stopover, I can’t think of a more pleasant way to pass the time until your next flight. Or if you work or live around the area, come pay me an unhurried, no-rush visit in plush surroundings and go away with a smug grin on your face, knowing that you’ve just had lots of rampant sex and your friends/colleagues haven’t.

This is just a day’s stay before my early morning flight on the 17th. Give me a call or drop me a line.

Kinky LaRue – floating your boat, whatever the weather:-).
