It’s been a hectic week and even busier weekend.
Apart from commencing studies, I had to do an extra day (Friday) at my Other Job as I had mentioned previously, to help train some of the staff with our new system, as well as my regular Mondays and Tuesdays. Saturday gone I had a wedding reception to attend in Central London, which meant scouring the ins and outs of Croydon (on Wednesday) trying to find suitable attire for the occassion. Then upon finding a dress I fell in love with and thinking the sandals I had at home would suit, they didn’t, so off I popped back up to Croydon after Work (on Friday) to find another pair, in time for the wedding reception on Saturday.
As I also mentioned before, tutorials have started along with the course, so I attended one at my local college on Saturday morning. To say I was absolutely shattered by yesterday (Sunday) is an understatement. And I managed to squeeze in a couple of bookings on the only day I wasn’t doing too much, Thursday.

I have taken the day off today from my Other Job, hoping to be rejuvenated and full of pep for tomorrow. I’m still tired and my feet are killing me from all the dancing on Saturday night. I had such a wonderful time, I can’t remember when last I did. I got home at around 2am, had a hot chocolate and was asleep by 3am. I woke up yesterday morning with a fuzzy tongue, sticky eyes and a sore throat from singing along to the music, a little the worse for wear. Not that I drank lots, don’t get me wrong, I’m not a big drinker, all I had was one big glass of wine that more or less lasted me the evening.
But you know you get that ‘morning after the night before’ feeling? That was me yesterday morning. I didn’t take anymore bookings last week, I simply didn’t have the time.

Things have now settled down and are back to normal. I’m back at my Other Job tomorrow, I have a two hour outcall on Wednesday, so subject to confirmation, Wednesday is fully booked. I also have a booking this Saturday at Victoria at 1pm, so as always there’s room for one more. And I’m just in email communication for a booking this Thursday afternoon all going well, so my week is filling up fast again. Still no word from my landlady on the fate of my incall flat, so until I hear otherwise, it’s business as usual.

Lastly I wanted to say well done to the warrior that is Adorable Amy, for running (not walking) the Race for Life to help raise funds (and awareness) for cancer. It was for a good cause and I hope she reaches her goal.

Speaking of which, I must mention the surreal sight I saw in Central London when I was in the taxi on my way to Victoria Stn at 1 ‘o’ clock in the morning. Hundreds and hundreds of (mostly) women doing their own charity walk. I saw lots of pink, so I assumed it was for breast cancer and I knew it was a Walk the Walk event from a t-shirt somebody was wearing on the train on the way into London earlier that evening. When I got home I googled Walk the Walk and I found out it was actually a Moonwalk that was stopping the traffic at 1am in Westminster. I did try to capture them but it as they were walking so fast and I was crawling in traffic it was all a bit blurry, but I hope the pictures gives you some idea. If not, the website should. Well done to the ladies (and children and men I also saw) and again well done to Amy.

this morning that Osama Bin Laden was killed by American Navy Seals in a covert operation. All I can say is Hallelujah!
Throughout the morning they’ve spoken to families, both here in the UK and in the US, of those who perished in Bin Laden’s terror campaign of 9/11 and 7/7 and one word kept being used, “closure”. I hope with his demise it’s something the families will achieve.

Although I wasn’t adversely affected by 9/11, I do remember watching the 2nd plane fly into the 2nd tower and watching the tower disintegrate. I visited the World Trade Centre back in 2000 and thought about all the offices, the restaurants and the shops on the ground floor.
When the news unfolded I remembered my mother and I had tried to call New York to make sure her brother and his family was okay and not being able to reach them because all communications were down. She was in an absolute state for days until we reached him and he assured her that all was okay.

The same thing happened here in reverse when the July 7th bombs went off. All of a sudden people kept calling me asking if I was okay and I asked what was going on. I wasn’t near a telly at the time and someone told me of the breaking news of what was going on in Central London. Then when I heard what happened it was a frantic afternoon of calling all my friends and family to make sure they were okay.

A couple of occassions I’m never likely to forget and I’m glad he’s dead.

I had a two hour booking in Central London first thing this morning at 10am (well, trotting off to a booking through the throngs of 9-5ers on the trains this morning is first thing to me).

Anyway, there were certain services my client required and as we were talking I mentioned the ambience of the hotel room…”good” I said, “the lights are on low, that’ll add to the ambience, the radio’s on for the music, that’s perfect. That way nobody will hear you scream”.

The look on his face was priceless. I wish I took a picture. I’ve said it before to a few clients but I’ve never received such a reaction as the one I got this morning. It certainly broke the ice.

If you’re going to see your favourite lady this weekend gents, or you’re just out and about, remember, what with the pope visiting London this weekend there’s going to be a bit of upheavel out on the roads. What with the tube works that are already going on this and every weekend, travelling around Central London should be a barrell of laughs.

As I understand it, there’s stuff going on today at Lambeth Palace, and the Westminster Abbey area. Tomorrow again in the Westminster area at the Cathedral itself, then Hyde Park in the evening. Roads will be cordoned off and bridges may be closed. Keep an eye on the BBC London website.

Happy travels gents.

The past couple of days phone calls has made me reminiscent about this song, sung by Karyn White sometime back in the 90s.

On Friday night at around 7.30 I received a phone call asking for an outcall to Ilford in Essex. For those unfamiliar with London and its geography, it’s a fair distance. I live in South London and Essex is all the way across town, past East London. It’s basically on the border of Essex county. Not Central London anymore.

Last night at approx. the same time, I received another request for an outcall to come to Hertfordshire. Hertfordshire?! This is even further than Essex, just going in another direction. It’s what we townies consider the countryside.

Now I know because of this freezing weather we’re suffering it seems like a great idea to have some rumpy pumpy in the warmth of your own surroundings. But calling me last minute, without any regard as to how I’d get to yours in freezing temperature, ice and snow, really is a tad thoughtless. Then imagine me trying to get back home in the wee hours of the night. It doesn’t even bear thinking about.

I have had to chuckle at these phone calls. I’m thinking to myself, how do these gents expect me to get to their houses, in this weather, at such short notice?? I know, I’ll do that twirly thing that Wonderwoman (yes I know, a different superhero to Superwoman but you get the picture) does. She goes from Diana Prince to Wonderwoman in a blink of an eye. I could go from homebody to Kinky Brandy in the blink of an eye too; thongs, sussies and basque just like that. And what for travel? Pfft, forget the icy roads my car would skid about in. Forget the long train journey hampered by the snow and ice. I know! I’ll use my Invisible Jet. I’ll be there in two shakes of my truth lasso.

Gentlemen, c’mon! If you’ve been experiencing difficulties in getting in to work this week, do you think I’d fare much better? And at such short notice? I know it’s not exactly a romantic picture, but believe me, with this weather, I’m curled up either on the sofa or in my bed in my warmest pee-jays wearing double socks which can just about feel the warmth from the hot water bottle my feet are resting on. In other words, I’m just as human as you.

That’s not to say that if I had an advanced booking I’d have done my damndest to get there. I would’ve and have done. I can feel my toes wincing now at the memories of some of the outcalls I’ve made to the Greater London area, standing on freezing cold train platforms. But c’mon gents, as gorgeous and as wonderful as I am, I’m not Superwoman, or indeed Wonderwoman. Even if I have performed some amazing feats in the bedroom.

I just woke up to this text sent late last night: “Any Jan sale? Plz let me kno, got ass 2 die 4.”

Apart from the fact that I don’t reply to randomly sent texts, yes, I know I have an ass to die for, but to answer your question no, no January sales.

I already have one of the lowest rates in Central London. Most fees are £150 and upwards. Which I was for a while but reduced back down to £140 in sympathy of the recession, which people seemed to have appreciated. So no, the last thing I’m going to do is reduce my prices even further, even if it’s just temporarily. I reckon I’m worth every penny as it is.

I’ve also heard from ladies who do temporarily reduce their rates with some sort of special deal, then have trouble going back to their original rate. Some gents who’ve taken advantage of such special deals, then expect it permanently and will actually argue with ladies on why they think they deserve that special rate all year round. Thus leading to grief and headaches.

Saying that, I’m not totally unfeeling. If you’ve been following my blog from the beginning, you’ll have remembered the odd discount on overnights and long bookings when I’ve stayed at an airport hotel the night before a flight. I think I’ve done that a couple of times.

But sorry, when it comes to my hourly rates, a discount is never going to happen. Not even seasonal “sales”. I think that with all the services I provide and considering my constancy in the business, my hourly rate is more than fair. It also needs to be considered that I do pay an ad hoc rate on the flat in Victoria.

But to whoever sent the text last night, thank you for making me smile this morning.
