Unfortunately for those who may be interested it won’t be until August. I thought I’d attach it to my usual jaunt to Manchester, have a nice week away from home this summer I think.

I’ve been looking for an excuse to go back to be frank. Although business was good the volume of clientele could’ve been a bit more, well, voluminous. Long-time readers of my blog will remember I went way back in November 2009 on an overnight booking for a client. I saw a couple more besides and did some sightseeing. But I loved Edinburgh and I’m going back for a couple of days. If for nothing else than to go back to the Food Hall in the House of Fraser department store on Princes St and get some of that wickedly strong cheddar cheese. I also need to find that little shop again near Grassmarket where I found that gorgeous Scottish honey. I may even try and squeeze a visit to Edinburgh Castle this time.

The hotel I’ve booked (of course it’s already booked, it’s me remember) is a lovely 4* which has steam and sauna facilities. If I can at least cover my expenses I’ll be a happy bunny. I’ve booked the 2nd-4th August, then I’ll make my way down to my favourite city by train. I’m excited already.
